From Both of Us —
Welcome to our new blog, The Forgotten Coast Contributor! We’re Jordan and Nicole, a couple obsessed with fishing and lucky enough to have the Gulf in our backyard. [Learn more about us here.] We decided to start this blog as Subtropical Storm Alberto made its way towards Florida. Because of the storm, we couldn’t fish out of St. Marks, our usual weekend routine. Unfortunately, St. Marks was underwater. As we waited for the storm to leave, we put this blog together to capture what we’re really passionate about: sustainable, saltwater fishing.
There are tons of established online communities that allow people to share their fishing photos, reports, and stories. However, we created this blog so that we could chronicle our time on the water at our own pace. We also wanted to reach anglers of all skill levels, from seasoned anglers to those just starting out.
We plan to share with you our weekly fishing reports, recipes, tricks, ideas, and Q&A. Although we fish out of Florida, we hope that readers from other states (and our own) enjoy our blog, learn something new, and connect with us. You’ll see tons of photos, all of which are our own unless otherwise noted.
We’ve started out with a few shorter posts to give you a glimpse into what you can expect from our blog. There is a lot more to come!
We look forward to becoming friends and learning from you along the way. Feel free to engage one or both of us through e-mail or comment on a post. With more than 20 years of fishing experience, Jordan is ready to answer all of your technical boating and fishing questions–just ask!
Thanks for stopping by!
Catch you soon,
Jordan & Nicole
